More photos from Ellie and Eric's wedding
Here are a couple of photos from Freed Photography who photographed the wedding of Ellie and Eric a few weeks ago. They did a lovely job. I was so happy to find the green leaf ribbon that I used on Ellie's bouquet and did not get a photo of it myself - so I am thrilled that they took one.
The girls looked beautiful in this photo outside the hotel.

50th Anniversary Party
This morning I made some arrangements for a 50th anniversary party later today. I did 3 variations on a theme with gold roses as the thread in all of the pieces. All of them have different color hydrangeas and I also used yarrow, seeded eucalyptus, coxcomb, asclepsia, calendula, dahlias, gomphrenia and solidago. This is the type of arrangement that I love.

Charlotte and Roger's wedding
Charlotte and Roger got married back in February. Their photographer, The Observatory, just sent me some wonderful photos of their wedding flowers. For a winter wedding, this couple had the wonderful luck of a warm spring-like day. The flowers included Charlotte roses ringed with varigated ti leaves for the bridesmaids. The bride carried a modified teardrop bouquet of Charlotte and Black Bacarra roses, green hydrangeas and parrot tulips.
Ellie and Eric's wedding
Ellie and Eric got married last night on a typical Washington summer evening. Hot and humid with threatening thunderstorms. Luckily the storms stayed to the south of town and the ceremony place outside in the beautiful courtyard of the Westin Hotel on M St. The colors for the wedding were fuschia and green and we built on the palette by adding a range of pinks into purple with Cezanne, Hot Lady, Cherry O and Green Tea roses, pink and green and blue hydrangeas, fuschia dahlias, purple brodia, green dendrobium orchids and lavender lisianthus.
